2023 Mt Etna Rosso Ciauria, Pietro Caciorgna

This ebullient red is aptly named given how expressive it is, with ripe strawberry, floral, hot rock and peppery notes to the fore. It boasts tremendous freshness and a resounding mineral core – characteristic of the best wines of Etna – enrobed in plush red fruit. Ciauria’s impressive concentration and complexity speak of vines up to 120 years old. The juicy mid-palate tapers to a long, moreish finish.
